Oh My Gulay – A Hidden Dining Stop In Baguio City, Philippines.

Oh My Gulay, Baguio City

Oh My Gulay is a themed restaurant located at the top floor at the La Azotea bldg on Session Road. It is one of Baguio City’s hidden dining gems.
And yes, “gulay” is in the name because it is mainly a vegetarian restaurant.

There’s a slim possibility of finding this restaurant by virtue of kismet merely by cruising along session road. This place is tucked away atop a very unlikely building to find it in. It’s like finding a fountain of water in the middle of a dessert. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but you’ll know what I mean if you’ve been here.

Upon entering the main entrance, the place immediately open ups to this wide area which looks, quite surprisingly— like you’ve entered somebody’s yard! No kidding- there are plants and a small hut and a few wooden statues of what would be (I guess) local ancient deities. There’s even a small bridge and yes- VEGETATION. Then you realize upon looking further around that this “yard” looks like a small enclave of an ancient hill-tribe’s village. Very surprising because weren’t we just climbing up a building a few seconds earlier? And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where this restaurant’s charm lies.

Looking around further, one finds that the restaurant has a 2nd level, which is even more photogenic than the ground floor.

We went to this place for Meryenda, so we wanted to try these pasta dishes and taste a variety of them.  All of these pastas are good to try. Even if you’re not vegetarian, you’ll find them interesting.
